Description

Northgate and Greenhollow have depot workers with no company email. A code by SMS is the obvious way in. Which provider?

Compared two (Textbridge and one other) on the same 200 test messages to IE, UK, NL and DE numbers:

TextbridgeOther
Delivered within 20 s97%94%
Sender name "ACME" allowedIE, UK, NL, DEUK, NL only
Delivery receiptswebhookpolling only
Price per SMS (EU average)€0.045€0.052
Where messages are processedUK and EU data centres; an EU-only contract (EU numbers kept in the EU) "planned"EU

Recommendation: Textbridge. The processing location goes on the sub-processor list; if a customer needs EU-only SMS we revisit when Textbridge's EU contract exists.

Fine by me. I'll write it up as an ADR once product starts the work. Their receipts webhook needs a public endpoint on notifier; we have one for Mailcrest bounces already (ENG-1387).
