Phone codes for depot workers without email
Description
Shaped in Emargen: Phone codes for depot workers without email. The brief, approaches and kickoff are there; this epic is the build. Product page: Confluence PROD › Phone-code sign-in.
Why
Many depot workers have no company email, so they have no way to sign in of their own. A site lead asks for access on their behalf, or people share an account. Greenhollow Dairy and Northgate asked for something better (SUP-792).
What we build
- A person's sign-in can be Phone code: they type their mobile number and get a six-digit code by SMS, through Textbridge, from the sender name "ACME".
- One number, one person in the organisation.
- A code works for 10 minutes; asking again cancels the old one; a new code after 60 seconds; five wrong codes and the person waits 15 minutes.
- People on phone codes can't be administrators.
- Support can see whether a code was delivered.
Not in this epic
- Codes by voice call, messaging apps, a second SMS provider.
Done when
Greenhollow's pilot site signs in with codes without the site lead's help. Target Tuesday 26 May; Northgate moves its site workers in June.

Live for every client since 10:00 and switched on for Greenhollow's pilot site. First codes delivered in 4–6 s. Closing.
Stories under this. The Textbridge spike from April is the basis (ENG-1368); Piet writes the decision up as ADR-013.
