Description

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the portal as an administrator.
  2. From another session, create a request that waits on them.

Expected: the count goes up within a minute. Actual: only after a reload.

The count is fetched once at page load. Poll every 30 s while the tab is visible.

Browsers: Chrome 127, Edge 127.

Verified: count updates in 15–30 s; no polling in a background tab.
