Mailcrest delays: notice emails up to 47 minutes late
Description
Summary
From 09.15 to 11.02 Mailcrest accepted our email and delivered it late, up to 47 minutes. Request emails, decisions and the new approver reminders were all affected.
Impact
About 4,100 emails delayed, every client (we have one Mailcrest account, in the US). Nothing lost. Approvers who work from email decided later.
Timeline (Tuesday 28 July)
- 09.15 Mailcrest's "delivered" events start lagging.
- 09.38 Northgate asks support why a decision email hasn't arrived.
- 09.40 Elif sees the median time from send to delivered at 18 minutes and rising.
- 09.52 Mailcrest's own status page: delivery delays.
- 10.40 Worst delay 47 minutes.
- 11.02 Back to under a minute.
Notes
Not posted on our status page: graded SEV3, and support answered the few tickets. Mailcrest's escalation contact is now in the shared vault next to Textbridge's.
