Description

Hi,

since Friday morning the portal is just a white page on the gatehouse iPads at Tilbury, and Avonmouth, Daventry and Teesport say the same. Six iPads. Gate supervisors are using the paper list. Laptops in the office are fine.

iOS 15.8 on all six.

Not reproduced in the Safari 15 emulator: it shows the 'too old' page.

Cause: since Thursday's faster-start release the browser check sits inside the main bundle, which Safari 15 can't parse, so it never runs. Moving the check into index.html.

Fix out: the check runs from index.html before the bundle loads.

Hi Shona, the six iPads now show our 'browser too old' page instead of a blank one. The portal needs Safari 16 or newer; iOS 15 can't run it. Tom Ashby is replacing the iPads this month. Until then the office laptops work.
