Description

Drivers share PCs in the Hull and Leeds transport offices. If someone forgets to sign out of the portal, the next driver is in as them. Can the portal sign people out when they walk away?

Hi Priya, not today. A portal session runs for the length your administrators set under Settings › Sign-in (eight hours unless changed; anything from 1 to 12), whether it's used or not; there's no sign-out after idle time.

On shared PCs the safest options today are a shorter session length, the Sign out button (top right, under the person's name) and a Windows screen lock after a few idle minutes, which you can set through Intune for those machines. I've logged sign-out after idle time as a request for our product team.

OK, we'll set a screen lock on the shared PCs. Please keep us posted on the idle sign-out.

Yusuf Demir · 21 Aug 2026, 08:10 UTCInternal note

Idle sign-out ask, Brakeline shared PCs. Sessions run to the client's session length (default 8 h, 1-12 h); nothing ends them on idle.
