Why
Approvers who work in the portal all day still had to watch their email to see a new request.
What we built
- A bell in the portal's header with the number of unread notices.
- The list: newest first, each with a link to what it is about.
- Read and unread; "mark all as read".
- The same notices as the emails (Notices: what we send), sent by the notifier and kept in the customer's region.
- Kept for 90 days.
What we left out
- Notifications from the browser or a phone.
- Choosing which kinds of notice to get.
- A daily digest.
Rollout
On for everyone on 4 August. In the first week 61% of approvers opened the bell at least once.
