Description

Our Q3 access audit starts next week. The auditors want, for each of our 14 team leads, a list of the people in that team and what they can open, and which role gives it. Can the portal give us that per team?

Hi Rachel, not per team, I'm afraid. The Access report is open to administrators; Daniel can print it for the whole organisation or one site at a time, as a PDF. There's no team filter and no spreadsheet download, so the team leads would have to take their people from their site's PDF. I know that's manual work for 14 teams.

We'll do that then. Lot of copy-paste.

For the record: done. 12 site PDFs, and the team leads retyped their people into our spreadsheet, about 1,400 rows. On my side it came to roughly 45 minutes per team lead, finding their people across the PDFs and checking who moved teams. The team leads spent most of two days typing. Would be good not to do this every quarter.

Northgate's quarterly audit: about 45 minutes of administrator time per team lead (14 of them) plus two days of retyping. Worth remembering when product looks at exports for managers.
