Brakeline: can requests go to a deputy while a depot manager is away?

Hi,
Owen Pryce, our Hull depot manager, is on leave for two weeks. Since depot managers started approving this week, Hull's drivers' requests now wait for Owen until Owen is back. Sam can approve them from All requests, but we only notice when a driver calls.
Can we name a deputy (for Hull, the shift lead) who approves while the manager is away?

Hi Priya, thanks. There's no deputy today: a request goes to whoever holds the depot manager role at its depot and waits there until it's decided, or until an administrator approves it under All requests.
Two questions so we get this right for you:
- Would the deputy always be someone at the same depot, like Hull's shift lead, or sometimes another depot's manager?
- Should the deputy get the requests already waiting when the manager goes on leave, or only new ones?
Usually the shift lead at the same depot. Sometimes Doncaster covers Hull at Christmas. And yes, the ones already waiting too, that's the main problem.
Thanks Priya, that helps. Our product team will shape deputies next, once a change shipping this month is out: when a depot's approver changes role, their waiting requests will move to whoever approves there now. Deputies build on that. No date yet.
Until then, Sam or another administrator can approve Hull's requests under All requests while Owen is away. Pia Lang will keep you posted here.
