Description

Two of the Mitchelstown pilot workers got no code this morning. Tried four or five times each from 06:30. The other 78 are signing in fine.

Names: Seán Ó Briain and Agnieszka Nowak. Ciarán added both by hand on Tuesday because they joined late.

Hi Aoife, looking now.

Piet, two Greenhollow users get no SMS. Rest of Mitchelstown fine. Both added by hand in the portal.

Both numbers stored as 087 / 085, no country code. Textbridge refuses them as invalid; notifier logs it and moves on, and the sign-in screen says 'code sent'. Logged ENG-1466.

Found it. Both numbers were entered as 087 … and 085 …, without +353. Our SMS provider refuses numbers without a country code, and nothing told you.

To fix it now: an administrator edits the two numbers to +353 87 … and +353 85 …; codes will arrive straight away. We're changing the portal so this can't happen again.

Ciarán fixed both, they're in.

Marek Nowak · 29 May 2026, 12:30 UTCInternal note

ENG-1466 deployed: the portal refuses a number that isn't in international format and offers the +353 form when it can tell the country from the person's site. A number Textbridge refuses is marked on the person, and the sign-in screen says it can't receive codes. A check found nine more Mitchelstown numbers saved without +353; Ciarán corrected them this morning. No other client had national numbers stored.

Ines Costa · 29 May 2026, 13:00 UTC

Hi Aoife, the fix is out: the portal no longer accepts a number without its country code, and offers the +353 version when someone types 087 …. If a number can't receive codes, the sign-in screen now says so. Closing.
